1. In front of the mirror, begin by taking a measuring tape and placing it directly between the eyes at the place you would like you hat to sit. For most people, the starting point is approximately one inch above the eyebrown, at the mid forehead point.

2. While keeping the measuring tape flush to the head, walk it level around the circumference of the head to meet again at the starting point. Please be sure not to pull the tape too tightly, it should feel comfortably close to the head.

3. Read and record the number where the measuring tapes meets.

4. Repeat this process a few times to ensure the measurement is correct. if available, ask someone to help you to ensure the tape measure is level and read the number where tape meets.
